In a match that will be remember for a long time Mexico, the USA team won.
It may be a new cycle, but Thursday night is the United States’ Nations League semifinals.
Unfortunately for El Tri, the men’s national team and Mexico are more settled. The USMNT has dominated this tournament for a while, and that dominance has continued thanks to another class from Christian Pulisic, who was the game’s most controversial meet on Thursday night in Las Vegas.
Pulisic was never involved in their 3-0 USMNT win as they led their side to the Nations League final against Canada. The American goalie dominated, scoring two goals, but it was far from the only significant event in the USMNT’s best performance against Mexico in the recent past.
Although this match will be referred to as the USMNT’s most important victory, it will also be referred to as the match that fell into chaos. It ended nine to nine and both sides saw a player sent off after two separate incidents.
The first came after Cesar Montes cut the Folarin Balogun and Weston McKennie joined Montes in the locker room for his role in the debate. Sergino Dest and Gerardo Arteaga were also expelled late in the tournament, leaving the USA without two key starting players in the Nations League final.
All this comes from the news of Gregg Berhalter’s comeback, and the United States looks very bad as a team that has improved in the last cycle. There will be a lot of discussion about what happens next in the next few days, but this result proves that despite six months of uncertainty in the search for a coach, USMNT has never lost a step, never lost. All battles or relationships mentioned in the previous cycle have been removed.

Matt Turner (6/10):
There is little to do until finally a good save. Given the lack of gameplay, you’d think Mexico would test it more, but El Tri couldn’t beat it.
Antonee Robinson (6/10):
USMNT’s success comes mostly from the left, although it comes from outside. However, no one has any complaints about Robinson, who has always been reliable.
Chris Richards (6/10):
Big test for the Crystal Palace defender he passed. Passing is possible and has good defensive moments. All in all a good job.
Miles Robinson (7/10):
The better of the two central defenders. You S. is a better team when Robinson is in good health and it shows in this team as well. Mexico is a place almost unheard of, and Robinson is a big reason for that.
Sergino Dest (7/10):
Dest enters the game with what a game and many questions. Pepi’s contribution to the goal was incredible but he was shining even before that big moment.
You can only ask for the best from Dest, who has proven once again that he is a good player when given the opportunity. However, his red card will cause confusion as he is a bit of an exception and costs his last chance to play.
Midfielder Yunus Musah (7/10):
American players are still strong with an average performance.
There are questions about how the Moussa-McKennie duo would perform without Adams’ support, but the Valencia star is fine.
Weston McKennie (6/10):
Iconic moment of the game:
McKennie, his shirt torn, kissing the sign. His red card weigh heavily for everything that happen, but there’s no doubt he’ll be love by fans and friends in some way. As the match continued, Weah’s pass inspire USMNT’s second goal, so it was a good game from that point of view as well. Still, he would have lost a point or two as he was ejecte and would have scored more goals had it not been for the red card.
Gio Reyna (7/10):
Reyna was better, bleeding throughout the match as Mexico was frustrate. He soon impressed the crowd. The change in body language is very clear because Reyna looks different from what we saw a few months ago.
Christian Pulisic (9/10):
No control from the current Chelsea star. After a fast, direct, confident and beautiful race, although it took early time, he was very happy in the end.
But he didn’t waste the next two chances because Pulisic was the man of the match and the big winner of the night.
Your Folarin Ball (6/10):
Welcome to CONCACAF Ball! It was a quiet game for the newcomer before he was eliminate by Cesar Montes. With the return of the USMNT’s new teammate, there is a lot of controversy that some might say bodes well. Surely the striker has seen better days.
Tim Weah (8/10):
was a bit overshadowed, but no player other than Pulisic has been as much of a problem for Mexico as Weah. His ability to beat the defenders and get to the finish line to score the second goal is another proof of why he still matters.
Substitution and manager
Ricardo Pepi (8/10):
Come and score a goal right away, you know it’s good. It’s been largely neglect since prom came, but as Pepi has shown it can make a difference.
Luca de la Torre (6/10):
Is in the middle after McKennie is gone. There is no need to do much because America just wants to run away and stop lying.

Late provides little power and protection.

Robinson booked, U. Q. Already missing from both Redskins, Callahan brought in Zimmerman to help him finish the game.

Played right-back after Dest was sent off, it was almost starting on Sunday.

Tactically everything is fine, as the
American team did for El Tri. He won’t be coaching the USMNT for very long but he definitely got the job done tonight.
