The Circle is heading back to Netflix for Season 5 this time around. There are going to be a few surprises for viewers.
The reality television show, hosted by actress and comedian Michelle Buteau, follows a group of contestants who live in the same apartment building but do not meet face-to-face, instead communicating through online messaging devices.
The Circle contestants can create their online profiles as themselves, or they can play somebody else. Throughout the game the cast ranks each other, with the most popular at each ranking being deemed “influencers,” and the least being at risk of being “blocked” and eliminated from the game.
The Circle Season 5 Release Date and Time Slot
The new season will be released this year and is all set to premiere on Netflix. The fifth season is set to premiere on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, with every new episode dropping on a weekly basis. The fifth season, like previous seasons, is divided into batches. The first batch of episodes will be released on the same day. Moreover, the season 4 and 5 pick-ups came because the seasons were filmed together.
It will have a time slot of 12:00 a.m. (PT) or 3:00 a.m. (ET), just like the other original series available on the streaming platform. In order to receive updates on when the show premieres on Netflix, interested viewers can also enable notifications. The official announcement of the series has now been confirmed by Netflix on the official Twitter handle, quoting, “ALERT The Circle is BACK & singles have entered the chat. The Circle appears to have a unifying theme in the US edition for the first time. The series will follow the format as the prior season which will be hosted by Michelle Buteau – with a new romantic twist. Singles will follow players who claim to be romantically available as they jockey for popularity with their sequestered co-stars.
