Chris Hemsworth has released the trailer for his highly anticipated next film, Extraction 2. Following the success of Netflix’s ‘Battle Royale’ (2020), the new film which ended with Chris Taylor Lake being shot in the neck brings back the black ops mercenary. When he fights a squad of cops to save a girl. Chris shared the trailer on Instagram and wrote, “You only get the one-second chance to get one. The powerful trailer opens with Chris arriving at a prison to free a girl, but the two are embroiled in a pitched battle with the police. As he fought them fearlessly, he was shot in the head, bringing back memories of being shot and pronounced “clinically dead” nine months ago. Despite the fire engulfing one of his hands, he got up and continued to fight the police. In the following preview, he is seen riding a scooter and shooting down a helicopter that was heading toward him.
Rudhraksh Jaiswal, who played the child actor in the original extraction, commented on the “BACK IN ACTION” trailer along with several fire emojis on Instagram.
Chef Dan Churchill wrote: “@chrishemsworth let’s be crazy!” A fan greeted Chris: “Mighty Thor is coming.” Another wrote, “Still confused about his lifestyle, but definitely excited for the movie.” One fan even commented, “If Thor was half Taylor, then Marvel wouldn’t be the same.” Premiering exclusively on Netflix on March 16.
It was produced by Joe and Anthony Russo through their AGBO banner, from the script by Avengers: Endgame filmmaker Joe Russo, who also wrote the first part of the film.
Coming to Netflix in 2020, Extraction is a hit. It featured Taylor Rake (Chris Hemsworth) traveling to Bangladesh to rescue the kidnapped son of a drug lord. At the end of the film, Taylor Rake is shot in the neck while protecting a child. The climax left fans wondering if Taylor Rake survived.
Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda also participated in the first part of the film. After its release, around 90 million households watched the film on Netflix.
